Welcome to RMSAAM.com, owned and operated by the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage (RMSAAM). By accessing or using our Website, purchasing our courses, or enrolling in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, please do not use this Website or purchase our services.

Terms & Conditions - the basics

1. Scope of Services & Educational Disclaimer

  • Educational Purpose Only: RMSAAM provides professional certificate programs, continuing education, and courses in animal massage, acupressure, craniosacral therapy, and holistic animal care. All content on this Website is for educational purposes only.

  • Not Veterinary Advice: The information, coursework, and materials provided by RMSAAM do not constitute veterinary medical advice. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition in animals. Students and practitioners must always defer to licensed veterinarians for animal medical care.

  • State Regulations: RMSAAM is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Division of Private Occupational Schools (DPOS). On-campus and online enrollment are governed by distinct program contracts which must be executed separately from this Website's checkout terms.

2. User Accounts & Enrollment

  • Account Security: To access online courses, you may be required to create an account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

  • Prohibition on Account Sharing: Online course access is strictly granted to the single purchasing student. You may not share, sell, or transfer your login access to any third party. Unauthorized account sharing will result in immediate termination of course access without a refund.

  • Age Requirement: Users must be at least 18 years old, or have express written consent from a parent or legal guardian, to purchase courses or enroll.

3. Purchases, Payments, and Chargebacks

  • Payment Processing: All payments made through the Website are processed securely via third-party payment gateways. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete payment details.

  • Refund and Cancellation Policy: All website purchases are subject to our formal RMSAAM Refund Policy.

  • Signed Enrollment Agreements: For multi-hour certification programs, you will be required to execute a separate, formal student enrollment contract prior to the start of the course. In the event of a conflict between these Website Terms and your signed Enrollment Agreement, the signed Enrollment Agreement shall take precedence.

  • Chargeback Abuse: Frivolous chargebacks or attempting to bypass our posted Refund Policy via bank disputes is considered a breach of these Terms. RMSAAM reserves the right to report payment manipulation to collections agencies and restrict future access to our digital and physical campuses.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Ownership of Material: All content on this Website and within our course portals—including but not limited to text, graphics, videos, diagrams, curriculum structures, logos, and course materials—is the exclusive intellectual property of RMSAAM or its licensors.

  • Limited License: When you purchase a course, RMSAAM grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view the materials for your personal, educational use.

  • Prohibited Uses: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from our educational materials without express written authorization from the Executive Director of RMSAAM.

5. Code of Conduct & Safety Disclaimer

  • Animal Safety: Hands-on training elements require absolute adherence to safety protocols for both human and animal safety. RMSAAM reserves the right to dismiss any student from an online or on-campus class if their behavior compromises animal wellness or classroom safety.

  • Prohibited Online Behavior: You agree not to upload viruses, scrape data, or use the online course communities to spam other students or post defamatory content.

6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, RMSAAM, its instructors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Website, your application of animal bodywork techniques, or your reliance on course materials.

  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RMSAAM, its owners, and its employees from any claims, liabilities, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of your misuse of the Website, breach of these Terms, or malpractice claims resulting from your independent practice on animals.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal actions or proceedings arising out of these Terms shall be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Colorado.
